let's see how incoherent i can be.

OMG CAS IS SO COOL. she's absolutely intrigued by his abilities and what he can do!! the parallel she's made between cas and an eidolon has kind of earned him a special place in her heart? there are a lot of things she reallllly doesn't understand about his world, and the place that he puts himself in that world with god and what exactly his role is, but she's absolutely convinced herself that he's somehow there to show people the right way.

while she sees him as a person, she also sort of treats him like a being from another world. she's really glad that she got to help him through his problems with dean, because there is something she can teach people, even someone like him! stumbling your way through emotional problems is something that really can only do for himself, even as she tries to hold his hand through it.

learning about other people's lives and helping them with their problems are things that vanille does to divert herself from her own issues. it's a way that she can feel like she made an impact without looking at the things that have passed that she really doesn't want to deal with. in some ways, cas' problems were a distraction from things that were really going on. but it's always kind of like that. she sort of starts out learning about people because she doesn't want to look at herself, and then ends up adoring them/crushing on them/getting close to them! i think it falls into the "she adores cas" category and wants to help him learn about emotions!! and she wants him to be happy with those emotions and be with the people he loves.

It's so funny that she thinks he's cool, because most people in his canon are like GOD, HE'S SUCH A NERD. But Vanille doesn't know that he has a horrible lack of pop culture knowledge. Maybe she'll learn about his nerdiness someday.

The way that she thinks of him like an eidolon is so adorable, I can't even. ;u; It's not... entirely the same, but there are enough similarities that it's a cool comparison to make. ♥

It's sad how she's always trying to help others to avoid her own problems, and sadly... that isn't the sort of thing Cas would really be aware of. :C Not unless he read her mind more, but he doesn't do that much these days. But uhh, she's really good for helping him through that stuff, because she doesn't pry and she explains things in a way he can grasp... Not to mention she's patient. HE APPRECIATES IT, HE REALLY DOES.

WELL in cas' defense, too, she's really, really good at it. and i think sometimes she even fools the people in her cast? SHE ALSO FOOLED SAZH, REMEMBER? where she was like oh blah blah blah your son!! and then got hit in the face with her own emotions when she realized that oh shit, what happened was totally her fault.

haha the eidolon parallel is totally kind of off, but she loves it, anyway. thanks vanille. it's okay. vanille doesn't know any of your pop references, anyway. she didn't even know who dysley was because... 500 years.
