WHEN HE WAS GOING ON AND ON ABOUT HIS FAMILY and how he has to make sure that they're not dishonored or misrepresented she kind of felt bad for him. like really felt for him. she's never had that experience herself, and she certainly never really wanted it. she's a people pleaser and probably could easily get caught up in trying to fulfill expectations (she did on some levels that are a bit more complicated), but it really brought her to the point of "if this is how your family treats you, then what is there?" to her, family is a sanctuary, not something to force you into a box. she's confused as to why he can't be sakuya and a be someone who represents his family, and it's really really sad and she doesn't feel that he would understand if she tried to express it? she kind of did in "when the world moves on and your name is gone, then what are the memories of you and your family going to be?" sort of like a life unlived.
